Introduction: Buying and selling homes involves understanding a client’s needs and wants, market knowledge, negotiations, inspections & disclosures, legal & financial issues, and processing a great deal of paperwork. In addition, I have successfully completed the “Seniors Real Estate Specialist” program offered by the National Association of Realtors and the Century 21 “Mature Moves” program designed to prepare agents to work with the age 65+ population. I am a member of both Nevada County and Placer County Multiple Listing Services (MLS).Background: I began my business experience in 1962 in Southern California as a secretary and, in time, moved into managerial and administrative positions and then had my own business doing bookkeeping/secretarial work as an outside contractor. I learned very quickly how to fine-tune my innate organization skills, and I discovered that I enjoy paperwork and attention to detail. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1987, a Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy in 1989 and, in 1992, became a California-licensed psychotherapist. I received my real estate license in 2001 and have been working as a full-time real estate agent ever since.Summary: My background as an administrator, secretary/bookkeeper, and counselor prepared me well for the field of real estate in that it gives me a unique point of reference which results in positive home buying and/or selling experiences for my clients.
