A US Army veteran, Dennis was the operations director of a general aviation firm from 1980-1983, served in key sales/marketing management positions at Southwest Airlines Co, (1983-1989) and as Vice President of the Albuquerque Convention & Visitors'''''''' Bureau (1989-1996). During his tenure in the travel/hospitality industry, he was instrumental in forging the development commitments for the construction of a new 395 room Hyatt managed hotel in downtown Albuquerque, combined with the simultaneous expansion of the convention center facilities. He also consulted numerous other New Mexico communities on their convention facility feasibility, as well as master planning consultation for the Santa Ana Pueblo''s tourism goals. Dennis was awarded the Marketer of the Year award at the Albuquerque CVB and honored with a "Dennis Campbell day" via Mayoral Executive Order for record contributions to economic impact through tourism/convention development In 1996-1997, he served at the Pleasure of the Governor of New Mexico at the State Fair, with the mission of restoring financial health and improving the tarnished image of the organization and events within the State.Mr. Campbell took a 2 year sabbatical from business (1997-1999) living in the Caribbean, until recalled to the Albuquerque CVB (1999) to assist with re-stabilizing the sales staff and marketing programs. Upon completing this stabilization contract, he began his own real estate practice in Phoenix, Arizona, initially specializing in retail and limited service hotel transactions, with limited office and industrial brokerage.Dennis is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers, National Association of Realtors, Arizona and Phoenix Associations of Realtors, as well as the American Hotel & Motel Association.
